Our Females
Rocking Chair Ranch
At Rocking Chair Ranch we challenge our cowherd to get better with every turn.
At weaning we take off the bottom 10% based on phenotype and structure.
As yearling we collect performance and ultrasound data and take pelvic measurements. Because of limited forage, we will keep roughly half of this group.
After calving, udder scores are given and at weaning the cow is judged by the performance and quality of the calf she brings in.
Once in the cow herd, the cow is required to breed within a 70 window, maintain a quality udder score, and raise a high quality calf .
